Karen Pesch
Karen Pesch is a mixed media artist residing in Irondequoit, NY. Art has been a lifelong hobby for her, enriched by classes in high school, RIT, the MAG, and on-line courses. She also credits relationships and feedback from other artists for providing valuable insights and support. In the past Karen has done pen and ink drawing, acrylic painting, and portraiture. She has greatly enjoyed the deeper exploration of her art and creative ideas that the gift of time in retirement has brought.
Her recent work has become less representational and more abstract, and is now including a range of media. It is an exciting time of discovery for Karen! She has received several Jurors awards for her work at IAC shows, and at the Bridge Gallery at Strong Memorial. Her work can be seen at The Artists Cave in Seabreeze or you may find her on Instagram. |
Artist Statement
“Sometimes I play with an idea, and sometimes an idea comes from play, but play I must! My art is abstract or semi- abstract. I hope to engage the viewer in their own exploration of my work to find their own story in it.”
