The Art Walk at the Irondequoit Town Hall
The Irondequoit Town Hall exhibits original, fine art created by the Irondequoit Art Club (IAC), a locally-based group of eclectic artists. A different art display is shown every three months and features various media including acrylic, oil, watercolor, mixed media & photography for view. The pieces are located on the main floor outside and inside the Broderick Room, at the Assessor’s office and on the 2nd floor outside of administrative offices. IAC artist Ken Kassel is the coordinator of this display.
An added feature along the stairs is a series of permanent murals, created by IAC member Jeanette Musliner and Hollis Biggs Garver. These vignettes of Irondequoit history spanning 150 years were developed in consultation with town historian Pat Wayne. Durand Eastman Park is presented as four seasons within one painting. The Town Hall is shown as a compilation of the July 4 daytime parade and nighttime fireworks. The frames were handmade and painted to match the walls.
The Irondequoit Town Hall is located at 1280 Titus Ave, Rochester, NY 14617 and is handicapped accessible. Viewing hours are generally 9 AM to 4:30 PM. There is no entry fee. For more info, contact the Irondequoit town hall or Ken Kassel.
