Diane Bosco
Diane Bosco has taken lessons in many different media from many different artists over the years: at RIT, Nazareth College and Memorial Art Gallery. She has dabbled in pottery, oil, acrylic, fiber art and watercolor (her favorite.) Diane belongs to the Irondequoit Art Club and Webster Art Club, and currently to an informal painting group which meets every Wednesday morning at Webster Recreation Center. Diane exhibits her works in both Irondequoit and Webster annual shows in which she has received Merit awards and one Juror's Award.
She has always loved to draw - even as a child. Her talents were put to use in high school to create murals for school dances, and signs for various occasions. She still does public art. One of her most recent murals (5 ft by 25 ft) was done for a doctor's office in Webster, depicting a panorama of Lake Ontario, with park and people in the foreground. She also loves to paint portraits, which is a challenge in her favorite medium watercolor.
In one of Diane’s art classes, her assignment was to paint shiny objects. She chose to paint something close at hand - the copper bottomed pots and pans on her stove. At the time, she was working at Nazareth College, and her co-worker's brother-in-law worked for the Revere Company in Utica, NY. She bought Diane’s painting as a Christmas gift for her brother-in law, and there it remains in Revere Ware’s home office.
Diane’s home studio is at 126 Ashbrook Circle, Webster, NY 14580. She can be reached by phone at 585-545-4641, or email at [email protected].
