Elizabeth Papaleo (deceased)
Elizabeth Papaleo, longtime member of the Irondequoit Art Club, began as a self taught artist, but also studied with Debbie VerHulst, Rosa Montante, and Pat Tribastone. Her favorite media were colored pencil and oils.
Some of her paintings can be seen around the town of Irondequoit, at Sunset House and at the offices of Dr. Stornelli and veterinarian, Dr. Balonek. Formerly in his waiting room, Dr. Balonek subsequently moved the painting to his home to enjoy! Some of her work was for sale at Aman's Farm and Market.
Betty participated in the Irondequoit Art Club’s Spring Shows, in which she won a Merit award for a still life in oils.
Her numerous other shows have included the Irondequoit Art Club’s Holiday Shows, shows at Chapel Oaks, the Maplewood YMCA, Legacy at Cranberry Landing Shows, the Irondequoit Art Trail and Silver Lake Gallery.
